10 dog parks near Kelowna that you & your pup will love!

You’ll have a ball with your dog at these great dog parks in Kelowna and the surrounding area. We’ve put together a list of ten great dog parks and their amenities for you and your dogs to enjoy all year round.

1 . Duggan Park

This park is centrally located in downtown Kelowna and has a fully fenced enclosure. There is both an off-leash and on-leash area, but the off-leash is for small dogs only (under 25 lbs). There are benches, leafy trees, and also a playground for kids.

2 . Kalamoir Regional Park

Lakefront park with two designated dog beaches that are off-leash. Nearby on-leash trails for owners and dogs to explore and washrooms on site. Access from the lower parking lot. Check for seasonal hours before , access may be weather dependant.


3. Mission Recreation Park

On-leash and off-leash options are available, with designated areas for large dogs and small dogs. The park has portable bathrooms, very large, trees, tables and chairs to sit at.


4. Cedar Creek Park

The biggest off-leash dog beach in Kelowna!  This Okanagan lakefront park has stunning views that you can enjoy while your dogs go for a swim. There are also walking trails that wind along the lake and covered picnic tables are available.

5. Ellison Dog Park

Ellison Dog park is a huge park that has separate designated areas for large dogs and small dogs. The enclosure is fully fenced and off-leash and includes trails for short hikes for owners and their dogs. Located behind the Kelowna Airport 


6. Knox Mountain Dog Park

Knox Mountain has many walks and trails for hiking with your dog and a fully fenced-off area with a large field for running that is off-leash. The fenced-off area is on the hillside with a view of Okanagan Lake and downtown Kelowna. The park has washrooms that are open April - October and then portable toilets in the off-season.

7. North Glenmore Dog Park

Spacious hillside dog park with solar lights for night-time walks. Park is fully fenced and off-leash, with access to drinking water for owners and dogs. There are also trees for shade and picnic tables to sit down while your dog zooms around.

8. Rowcliffe Park

This double-gated park is conveniently located near downtown Kelowna. it has a smaller, mulch-covered park area that is fully fenced and off-leash. There is a bench to sit down, and while there is no shade provided there is a special water fountain for dogs. The park was newly redeveloped as of 2018.


9. Lake Avenue Beach Avenue

New as of 2019! This lakefront off-leash park is small but has a sandy beach that your dogs can swim in. There is a small amount of paid parking available.


10. Enterprise Park

This dog park is small but has access to beachfront through an avenue of leafy trees. Off-leash and fully fenced with portable toilets available. Parking lot access is between Shaw and Mini Kelowna Car Dealership.
