about poop scooping services for your dog.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. In fact, there are no setup fees either. For our weekly schedule, you would pay in advance for 4 weeks. You are then billed every 4 weeks. You can cancel at any time and your services will be completed for that current month. We also offer a one-time-only service for those that just want single scooping, not on a schedule.
What is the cost of service?
Rates start as low as $15 per visit, rates increase with the number of dogs. There are no setup fees. Please see all yard scooping rates here.
Do you service my area and what would my service day be?
We service Kelowna, Mission, Upper Mission, Black Mountain, Rutland, Glenmore, and East Kelowna, West Kelowna, Vernon, Lake Country, Peachland, Coldstream.
We scoop Monday through Friday – your service day will be scheduled depending on your geographical location.
Mostly Mondays, Rutland, Black Mountain, Downtown
Mostly Tuesdays, West Kelowna, Peachland
Mostly Wednesdays, Downtown, West Kelowna
Mostly Thursdays, Mission, Upper Mission, Lake Country, Ellison
Mostly Fridays, Glenmore
Note that an additional day will be added for those signing up for a twice-per-week service.
How do I pay?
For your convenience, we offer online payment forms that accept credit and debit cards displaying the Visa, and Mastercard, logos. Your card will then be charged on a 4-week basis for the rate at which you choose. You can also choose to pay a one-time-only fee if you would like just single scooping, not on a schedule.
How do I start service?
You can call, or simply fill out the form online to give us some basic information.
Is your service refundable?
No. We do not offer any refunds. You pay in advance for 4 weeks. This is so that we can better organize our schedule weeks out. If you are not happy with your service, please let us know so we can make it right!
What if I don’t need my yard scooped on a certain week?
Are you taking your dog on vacation or boarding him for the week? No problem! Just notify us before your service day so we know not to scoop and we will credit you one week of service on your next billing cycle.
Are you insured?
Yes, we have Worksafe BC and liability insurance.
Do you work on Christmas?
The only week we don't scoop is Christmas week.
Do I have to be home while you work?
No. Please let us know of anything that could possibly hinder us from getting to your yard such as a locked gate or steep driveway so that we can discuss the best solution.
Is there an extra charge if I have a large yard?
Yes, if your yard is larger than .25acres, there will be an added charge as it will take us a bit longer to complete. For larger acreages we may scoop only a certain portion per session in order to clear the grounds properly and in a timely manner.
Is there an extra charge if I have large dogs?
No. No matter what size your dog, we see it as being equally challenging. While larger dogs might produce larger amounts, it is harder to spot the ones the little guys put out.
What happens if it snows or rains?
We will still come to scoop your yard rain or shine. If it is heavy rain or thunderstorm, or a heavy snowfall on the day of your service, service will be delayed a week.
What do you do with the scooped poop?
We bag and seal the waste and put it in your garbage bin.
Can my dog be in the yard when you scoop?
Yes. But only if your dog plays nice ?? Please let us know if you would like the scooper to text you when they are on their way so you have time to bring your dog in if you prefer.
How do I cancel my service?
We’ll be sorry to see you go! If you need to cancel, simply call 250-826-8028 or email us mary@pooworx.com at least 48 hours in advance before your next payment is scheduled.
